Hi my name is @humansommelier, or Tucker! This is a class on advanced negotiation. This is for anyone to attend but you may receive the most benefit from it if you are already an experienced player in our communities.
Do you want to take your skills to the next level? Take it from someone who has done things wrong and done things right. The ways I’ve learned negotiation have been through continuous education, messing up, and learning to do better. Alongside a relentless penchant for curiosity, reading, and learning from others.
If you attend this class you can expect to leave with reading materials from our facilitator and we fully anticipate this to be a very open and discussion oriented interactive and collaborative setting.
We will be having an extensive deep dive into how and why negotiation is so important and how many different kinds of negotiation there really are. What is ethical? What is not? How can we build safer containers to do the insane things we want to do with one another?
I will offer information from books I have read that has been distilled into a digestible format, lived experience that I can lean on, and hopefully bring up some words and terms you’ve never heard of that you can use in your negotiations!
Schedule of Events:
6:30pm-7:30pm Doors - NO late entry
7:30pm-9:30pm Class and Discussion
9:30pm-10:00pm Optional open Q&A from anyone to anyone on their negotiation practices, any feedback on curriculum, and knowledge sharing.
I am interested in anarchistic pedagogy. Meaning this is a moment to facilitate and discuss rather than be the sole authority figure in the room.
This is not intended to be a lecture.
Attendees are encouraged to help shape the future curriculum by bringing ideas of their own around consent and negotiation to enhance this conversation.
Hopefully you learn something from me and I learn something from you
