This is an intimacy and communication skill-building gathering. We come together to explore authentic expression, boundaries, and trust cultivating autonomy, collective care, harm reduction, and consent through embodied practice. There is deep social and political power in gathering this way!

This space centers those who are new to intimacy work, on the asexual or demisexual spectrum, or simply curious about building deeper, more intentional relationships. Bring your curiosity, your vulnerability, your humor, and your heart. Together we’ll learn to communicate what we want, what we don’t, and how to hold space for others in return.

You’re encouraged to make informed, honest choices and to engage with compassion and nonjudgment as we grow our collective understanding of care and connection.

There is something deeply political and powerful about sapphic connection. About choosing softness, curiosity, and mutual care in a world that doesn’t always make space for us. This gathering prioritizes folks on the demisexual and asexual spectrum, those new to kink, and anyone wanting to more fully embody their desires in a supported, affirming environment.

Bring your sexy desires, your tender ones, your silly cravings, your yearning for closeness, your need for laughter, your want to be witnessed.

We’ve intentionally curated this space for self-identifying sapphics, women, and gender-expansive folk to have a soft, safe container to explore desire, intimacy, and juicy connection with one another.

To protect the sacred energy of this night, our entire hosting and facilitating staff also identify within this community. As such, we maintain a firm no-cis-men policy.

We will absolutely never police identity, presentation, passing, or genitals. This space is rooted in trust. However, if your public profile presents as a cisgender man, or if your alignment with a sapphic space isn't clear, we will reach out to ask a few clarifying questions before the event.

If you are currently transitioning, questioning, or haven’t come out publicly yet, that is completely okay. You do not need to change your profile or out yourself to the world to be here. We just ask for open, honest communication with our hosts so we can keep this container safe for everyone.

Whether you’re a seasoned writer or new to the page, this is a space to stretch your sensual imagination, experiment with language, and celebrate pleasure through words. Come ready to giggle, blush, and write things you never thought you’d say out loud. By the end, you’ll have a juicy story, play, or poem under your belt!

Earnest has been writing smut for 6 years (or more). They are drawn to writing about power dynamics, consensual non-consent, queer and trans bodies, sci-fi and speculative fiction. Earnest is passionate about finding non-normative language to describe the erotic, and will push you, the writer, to subvert your expectations. We all have such interesting, unique & strange bodies. Let’s write it that way.

You can come to all sessions, or just one. If you are attending the full workshop, please bring a lunch and some snacks to share!

Part of the proceeds will go towards Earnest’s top surgery fund. A word from them about their journey: “I have known I wanted top surgery for several years now, but never thought I could get it due to lack of health insurance, and how expensive and overwhelming the whole process is. I now feel ready to ask for resources, guidance, and encouragement. These initial funds will go towards securing a special therapist so that I can get ‘approved’ for gender affirming care. Then I will begin the process of finding the right surgeon for me. I don’t have a gofundme yet, but my Venmo (@big-red-dog) will be available at the workshop. I am super grateful for this community and hope that my fellow trans & nonbinary peeps get the care they need.”

For our newcomers, this is the perfect, low-pressure entry point to understand our culture of consent and connection. For our seasoned players, this is an invitation to slow down, sharpen your energetic tools, and lead by example. We believe the best "Intro" is one where the community comes together to co-create a container that is as deep as it is safe.

What’s Different?

Unlike our standard events where we move quickly, we are dedicating the first half of the night to a consent workshop. This isn't just a "how-to" - it’s a guided journey through self inquiry and communication games designed to drop everyone into their bodies.

Seasoned folks: Come to refine your "slow-burn" skills and enjoy the luxury of a 90-minute warm-up.

Newer folks: Come to learn the ropes in a space held by those who know it best.
