Mabon

Mabon, the Autumn Equinox, is the festival of balance and ripening. It's the time of the year when day and night linger in equal embrace before the world tips into shadow. Pagans have long honored this moment with the second harvest by baking bread from gathered grains, splitting apples to reveal the hidden star within, and offering libations back to the earth. It is a time when desire is as natural as falling leaves, when sweat and cider mingled on lips, and the harvest was celebrated in moans and tangled limbs beneath the autumn sky. To honor Mabon is to taste, touch, and revel in what has come to fruition, while preparing to release what must now fall away.

At Samsara Temple, we gather in this same spirit by offering our gratitude, our sensuality, and our balance to one another as living prayers to the turning of the Wheel.
