Why We’re Telling You How We’re Organized
Samsara started with three founders and a shared vision. Since then, it has grown into something held by many more people, each carrying different responsibilities and pieces of the work.
As we grow, transparency matters.
You should know who holds responsibility, how decisions are made, and where accountability lives. This isn't about hierarchy for hierarchy's sake. It's about making power visible and helping our community understand how the Temple is held.
Samsara has grown. Our structure needs to grow with it.
The Temple Is a Community, Not a Personal Kingdom
Samsara may have founders, leaders, and people entrusted with specific responsibilities, but no one person is Samsara.
The Temple belongs to the community it serves. Leadership exists to steward the vision, hold responsibility, and serve the work, not to accumulate unchecked power.
As Samsara grows, we want our structure to reflect that: shared responsibility, visible power, and accountability to something bigger than any individual.
Our Community Structure

The legal and spiritual body of Samsara. The Temple holds the mission, values, governance, and long-term responsibility for the Temple.

Provides oversight and accountability for the organization. The Board helps guide major decisions, protect the mission, and ensure Samsara is being responsibly stewarded.

Runs the Temple. The Council is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Samsara, including programming, administration, and community development.

Bring experiences to life. They lead classes, rituals, workshops, performances, installations, and other programming that contributes to the culture and offerings of the Temple.

Help hold the container during events. Fae support consent, safety, boundaries, and the overall integrity of the space. They are empowered to address concerns and intervene when necessary.

The people who make Samsara what it is. Our community includes patrons, members, volunteers, artists, facilitators, and others who participate in and contribute to the life of the Temple.
Power & Accountability
Power exists at Samsara. Some people hold more authority, access, influence, or responsibility than others. We believe that power should be visible, understood, and accountable.
We've made mistakes. We'll make more. What matters is our willingness to listen, learn, repair, and do better.
Our policies, consent practices, community code of conduct, and leadership structures exist to help us hold power responsibly.
We don't promise perfection. We promise accountability and a commitment to keep doing better.
