CASTING THE CIRCLE
At the beginning of ritual, we cast the circle together to create a shared space for ritual, intention, and connection. Our circle is cast through a simple call-and-response, with a variety of ritual leaders inviting the community to speak, respond, and participate together. You do not need to know the words ahead of time, but they’re below if you want to. The ritual leaders will guide you through each line, and you are always welcome to participate at your own comfort level.
EAST - Air

CLOSING THE CIRCLE
At the end of ritual, we close the circle by intentionally releasing and honoring the energies and spirits we invited in. The ritual leaders guide the group through each direction and the space above, below, and within, with the community responding “So mote it be.” We then collectively repeat the closing phrases together, returning the elements and energies to their places and carrying the intention of the ritual with us.
